Basic information

I have to cancel my participation in the race. What should I do?

If you decide not to participate in KRAS TRAIL for any reason, you are not entitled to a refund, unless you purchased the optional insurance at the time of registration.

If you cancel before 22 February 2026, you have two options:

a) Transfer your registration to another participant

Log into your My Dashboard account → TRANSFER YOUR BIB TO A FRIEND and complete the athlete change.
A processing fee applies to all changes made between 22 February and 15 March 2026.
Transfers are possible until 15 March 2026. After this date, transfers are no longer available.

b) Refund through BeTicketing insurance

If you purchased BeTicketing insurance, you may request a refund directly through the insurance provider.
Note: The organizer does not refund entry fees under any circumstances.

The refund option is available only through the BeTicketing insurance purchased during registration.

BeTicketing insurance offers a refund of up to 80% of the paid entry fee, up to €4,000, in cases such as:

  • Medically confirmed illnesses (including conditions caused by epidemics/pandemics)

  • Pregnancy or childbirth up to 7 days before the event

  • Public transport strikes, exams, serious property damage, or other unforeseen and documented circumstances

Important:

  • The claim must be submitted within 5 working days of the incident and no later than 72 hours after the event.

  • Proper documentation is required (e.g., medical certificate, police report).

  • Refunds are made by bank transfer within 8 days after claim approval.

  • The organizer does not issue refunds under any circumstances.

  • Refunds are possible only if BeTicketing insurance was purchased during registration.

You will receive a link and QR code for submitting a claim from BeTicketing upon purchasing the insurance.

FINAL DEADLINE: 15 March 2026
After this date, no changes of any kind will be possible, regardless of the reason. If limit for rotes filled up before, than we can stop changes before that date.

Injury prevents my participation. Is it possible to transfer the registration to next year?

No. If you cannot participate due to injury, you may transfer your registration to another runner.
If you purchased BeTicketing insurance, you may request a refund directly from the insurance provider.
Transferring your entry to the following year is not possible.

I want to change my chosen distance. Is this possible?

Yes. All changes can be made through your registration profile.

  • When switching to a longer distance, you must pay the price difference.

  • When switching to a shorter distance, no refund is given.

  • Switching distances is free of charge until 22 February 2026.

  • From 22 February to 15 March, a €5 fee applies.

After 15 March 2026, changes are no longer possible.
If a distance reaches its entry limit earlier, changes may close beforehand.

 

I would like to transfer my registration to another runner. Is this possible?

Yes.
Log into your My DashboardTRANSFER YOUR BIB TO A FRIEND and complete the transfer.
A processing fee applies for every transfer between 22 February and 15 March 2026.

Transfers are available until 15 March 2026.
If a distance reaches its registration limit earlier, transfers may close sooner.

What are the deadlines for registration for KRAS TRAIL 2026?

Registration closes on 15 March 2026 at 23:59. But if the event sold out before that date, registrations will close as soon as we reach the limit! Once we are sold out, no further registrations will be possible.

When and where can I pick up my race number?

Race number pick-up for KRAS TRAIL 2026 will take place at the Divača Primary School (Divača 3, 6215 Divača) on Friday, March 27, 2026, and Saturday, March 28, 2026, according to the following schedule:

Can someone else collect my race bib on my behalf?

No, each participant must collect their race bib in person, as they will need to:

Present a valid photo ID

Sign the Liability Waiver

Complete the mandatory equipment check

I won an award (overall or category). Do I need to attend the award ceremony?

Yes. All awarded runners must be present at the ceremony and collect their prize in person.
Prizes and medals cannot be collected after the event.

I cannot participate in the race, but will I still receive a race gift bag?

If you do not participate in KRAS TRAIL 2026, the organizers are not obligated to provide you with a starter gift bag or event souvenirs, including the race T-shirt.

However, you may personally collect your starter package during bib pickup on 27 and 28 March 2026 at Divača Primary School.

After the event, the organizers are not responsible for shipping uncollected gift bags or souvenirs.

Another person may pick up your starter package without the bib number if they bring:

  • A copy of your ID

  • Your written permission (sent to us via email)

Where can I find the exact locations of the aid stations?

Exact locations of the aid stations for KRAS TRAIL 2026 will be published on our website. Simply visit the Runners section, where you will find details for each distance. The aid station locations are listed under the AID STATIONS submenu, where you can find information for your selected route.
Exact locations of check points and aid stations will also be included in the Kras Trail Runner’s Guide 2026, which will be available two weeks before the event.

Will there be race photos available?

Yes. A few days after the race, all photos will be uploaded to our Kras Trail Facebook page.

What happens if I withdraw from the race?

A runner who withdraws must:

  • Immediately report their withdrawal to the organizer (contact is printed on the bib or available at each aid station).

  • Proceed to the nearest aid station or checkpoint.

  • Wait for organized transport to the finish, or if they have their own transport, they must inform the organizer that they have ended the race and have arranged transport.

Can I run with my pet?

Unfortunately no. Running with a dog or any other animal is not allowed in the official race.

Help

Can I help another runner and take care of them during the race?

Assistance to runners is only allowed at official aid stations. All other forms of assistance are strictly prohibited.

We emphasize fairness and respect for the rules in the organization of the event. Helping outside of official stations is not allowed, as it would give an unfair advantage. Violation of this rule will result in a penalty for the runner, which includes adding extra time to their total time.

Will there be a runner’s guide for KRAS TRAIL 2026?

The Runner’s Guide for KRAS TRAIL 2026 will be published on our website two weeks before the event. In it, you will find all the necessary information about the routes, aid stations, check points, and other important details for a successful race.

Are the aid stations accessible by car?

The aid stations for KRAS TRAIL 2026 are not accessible by car. Access to all aid stations will require a walking route, which takes between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the location. Please be prepared to hike to the aid stations, as cars will not have access to these areas.

Distances

Where can I download the GPX files for the courses?

GPX files for all distances of KRAS TRAIL 2026 will be available on our website in the RUNNERS section. The files will be published just before the event, at the latest a month before the race.

Please note that the courses may still change, so we recommend checking for updates on our website regularly.

Is the course marked?

Yes, the courses for KRAS TRAIL 2026 will be clearly marked with various signaling elements, such as flags, signs, reusable ribbons, and other visible markers. Efforts will be made to ensure that you always have a clear view of the route, but we recommend that you remain alert to the markers throughout the race.

What are the time limits?

Time limits for all distances at KRAS TRAIL 2026 will be published on our website in the RUNNERS section. There, you will find exact information about how much time you have to complete each course.

What time do the races start?

10 km Škocjan Caves – March 28, 2026, at 12:30, Škocjan Caves
15 km Senožeče – March 28, 2026, at 10:30, Senožeče Square
32 km Idila pod Nanosom – March 28, 2026, at 09:30, Pod Nanosom, near the starting point

Mandatory equipment

Is mandatory equipment really necessary?

Yes, mandatory equipment is essential for your safety and must be worn throughout the entire race. All equipment must be carried in your running vest or backpack. A mandatory equipment check will be conducted when collecting your race bib.

The organizer reserves the right to check the mandatory equipment either before the start of the race or at any point on the course. If any item is missing or the participant refuses to provide the equipment, a penalty will be imposed.

For each missing item, a time penalty of 30 minutes to 1 hour will be applied.

The runner may carry the equipment on themselves or in their backpack.

Where can I find the list of mandatory equipment?

The list of mandatory equipment will be published on our website under the RUNNERS section, where you will find details for each distance in the MANDATORY EQUIPMENT subcategory.

It is important to note that plastic cups will not be used at the aid stations, so it is mandatory to bring your own reusable cup or bottle.

What happens if I don’t have the mandatory equipment?

If you do not bring the complete mandatory equipment to the race, you may be putting yourself at serious risk, as this equipment ensures your safety in adverse weather conditions such as extreme cold, strong winds, or in case of injury when you need assistance. The equipment listed in the mandatory equipment list will be checked when collecting your race bib. Additionally, random checks will be carried out during the race to ensure that each runner has the required equipment.

If you do not have all mandatory equipment when collecting your race bib, you will not be given your race number.

Furthermore, mandatory equipment may be checked at stations during the race. If any equipment is missing, a penalty in the form of a time penalty (30 minutes) will be imposed. In the case of repeated violations, the runner will be disqualified from the race!

Accommodation and parking

Can you recommend any accommodation or camping?

Detailed information about accommodation and camping options can be found on our website in the Accommodation section.

Are there parking facilities in Divača?

Parking in Divača will be available near the bib-pickup locations and in other designated areas. Exact locations and details will be published in the Kras Trail 2026 Runner’s Guide, which will be available a few weeks before the event. We encourage all runners to use public transportation for arrival and departure from Divača. Trains and buses are available.

Are trekking poles allowed during the race?

Trekking poles are allowed on all courses and are strongly recommended, especially on the more challenging sections. If you choose to use them, you must carry them with you throughout the race.

Do I get ITRA points for participating in the Kras Trail race?

Here is the list of ITRA points you can earn on the individual distances of Kras Trail:

32 km – 1 ITRA point

How can I get to the start of the 10, 15 and 32 km races?

Transportation to the start of all races will be provided, and this is included in the registration fee for participants of all distances. Detailed information about the bus transportation from Divača to Škocjan Caves, Senožeče and Laže – Idila pod Nanosom will be included in the Kras Trail 2026 Race Guide.
