The ultra distance is the ideal choice for experienced trail runners who are already familiar with ultra-distance challenges and want to test their fitness in the early season ahead of the bigger challenges to come. The route is highly varied, taking you through the unspoilt landscapes of the Karst and Brkini regions, along trails that impress with their wild character, spectacular views and authentic connection with nature.
The ultra race starts in front of the primary school in Senožeče, from where the course quickly climbs towards Vremščica. The very first kilometres deliver a true trail experience, with technical singletracks, open Karst plateaus and breathtaking views that immediately draw runners into the rhythm of the course.
A fast and flowing descent follows towards Zgornje Vreme, before the route continues through the picturesque Karst villages of Barka, Vatovlje and Misliče, where authentic Karst architecture blends seamlessly with the tranquillity of the unspoilt landscape.
The course then reaches one of the region’s most iconic landmarks, the Škocjan Caves area, where running alongside the Reka River creates a truly unique atmosphere.
The route then heads towards Famlje before turning back towards Vremščica once again, where runners face the final major climb of the race. From there, only a fast descent towards Divača remains, bringing an unforgettable ultra adventure to its finish.
A true trail-running delight, with stunning views, varied terrain and unspoiled nature turning every kilometre into a unique experience.
